Born in Sacramento and raised in the Sierra Foothills, I have gained the utmost respect and
appreciation for the diverse California environment and its many natural resources. Resources that
are rapidly becoming expensive, hard to get, completely unavailable or even extinct. Time, wisdom and
experience has made me aware of issues that we can no longer ignore. This now makes me
responsible and committed to the preservation and restoration of the gifts that Mother Nature has
bestowed upon our parents, grandparents and the ancestors of this wonderful land.
Working at One River Medicine provides me an opportunity to pursue life-long passions I have had
with plants, animals, the environment and people. The Confluence at One River Medicine is a special
place that allows me to meet with all people, businesses and agencies interested in creating social
and economic change toward a sustainable community, country and world. Having a greater respect
for Mother Nature and the Earth will only occur through the education of our society with an emphasis
on the youth and young adults.
