A Purposeful Tea Party

Tuesday, 2/28/17, 7:15-7:45pm

Nature provides us with many remedies for warding off a cold. But not all colds are created equal, and understanding the different types and stages is key to choosing the one that will be most effective. Chinese Medicine differentiates common colds based on symptoms such as chills, fever, sweats, body aches, sore throat, location of symptoms, amount of fatigue and digestion, plus quantity and quality of any present phlegm.

The main objectives when trying to ward off a cold are:

  • Shielding against the elements of cold and wind, and exposure to pathogens.
  • Moving blood and lymph, so that the immune system can work more effectively.
  • Releasing and clearing pathogens and toxins from the body.
  • Supporting the body’s natural defenses.

You are invited to join Linnie O’ Flanagan, L.Ac. and Marta Correll, L.Ac. for an evening of tasting and exploring our extensive array of purposeful teas, suited for any specific type of winter cold.

We will discuss the different types of colds and the teas that are best suited for treating them. The right combination will restore you to optimal health as winter melts away into spring.

Our purposeful teas are modular, so they are designed to be mixed and combined in accordance with your individual symptoms and unique constitution – and they taste wonderful. Each one can be further combined with our line of animal-inspired teas, which are formulated to target different areas of the body.

What better way to alleviate your cold than to relax with a warm, inviting, tasty cup of tea … please join us for this evening of sipping and sampling!

This is the first in a series of free Tuesday evening events. Please RSVP !
